  New Members

  Have you ever considered joining an orchestra? It's a fantastic way to make new friends and meet like-minded people. Playing with other musicians will take your skills to the next level and really boost your confidence.There's so much to gain and enjoy!

  Learn and Build Confidence

  The YFO is a relaxed group including both long-standing members and newcomers. Musicians come to us with varying levels of experience but we are here to help you to learn, improve and have fun. All members can nominate which performances they would like to play at.

• 

  Eligibility

  We play traditional and new international folk music featuring melodeon and accordion; woodwind instruments including recorder, oboe, flute and clarinet; stringed instruments including violin, viola, cello, guitar, ukulele and mandolin, and percussion instruments. There is no need to audition before joining. We welcome members of any age although under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

  Fees

  Our monthly members' fees are kept as low as possible and are structured to cover our basic costs. Benefits of membership include free online resources, photos and sheet music downloads.
